The matt surface of these targets enables perfect point referencing in many applications, e.g. in plant surveying, tunnel construction, forensics, etc.. The 46-LZ200 target has a very robust, solid aluminum target plate. The simpler model 46-LZ200-0, on the other hand, has a target plate made of a plastic composite material and is therefore much more sensitive to mechanical stress. Both targets can be mounted on any 12 mm LEICA trunnion.
For positioning, our modified 22BS-LZ alignment rod stand with 12 mm spigot is a lightweight, inexpensive and proven alternative to setting up on an instrument stand with tribrach and reflector holder. For details of our alignment rod stands, see page 125.
The 46-LZ150/151 targets made of 0.4 mm polyester film are available both for laying out and for permanent affixing.
