With this stand you can fix any surveying instrument quickly and safely to (almost) any round or square column, support or beam.
A sturdy strap belt is attached to the solid, cast aluminium mounting bracket. The strap belt has a breaking strain of eight tons (!!!) and is tensioned by means of a powerful ratchet. By tightening the strap belt, the stand is so firmly secured to the column that even a very heavy surveying instrument can stand on it safely and without difficulty.
The instrument stands on a turnable and adjustable aluminium plate with a diameter of 140 mm and 5/8" external stainless steel thread.
The height of the instrument can be adjusted on the precision-engineered stand within a range of 300 mm.
The stand can also be mounted without the strap belt for fixing instruments to external corners of buildings. In this case the mounting bracket is simply fastened to the corner with four 10mm screws and suitable wall plugs.
