Tachymetric determination of the axial position of bolts or drill holes is difficult without special aids. The taper adapter is a tool that can be used to precisely determine the position of both vertically drilled holes and vertically inserted bolts.
The 40 mm long stylus with M8 internal thread is guided through the axial bore of the taper adapter.
Depending on which prism is used for the measurement, the stylus must be adapted with the appropriate adapters. A precise circular level (accuracy 50') is used to set the entire measuring unit plumb.
The taper adapter can be used for both bores and bolts by simple conversion.
