Ranging Poles
In surveying, the highest demands are placed on the quality of alignment rods. The most important quality features are long-term straightness of the rod, a low-wear tip and a clearly visible and durable paint finish.
For the one-piece alignment rods used in most cases, either knot-free, long-seasoned spruce wood with a 0.5 mm thick coating of hard PVC or fiberglass (GRP) can be used. For simple building applications, we offer building alignment rods made of wood or tubular steel.
Fiberglass rods make up for the higher purchase price with quality advantages. They are particularly break-proof and remain absolutely straight even after years of use. Even rough handling (e.g. poking after underground markings) is much more forgiving of a GRP rod than a wooden alignment rod.
We mainly sell rods from NEDO, one of the market leaders in the production of alignment rods in survey quality. Trials with other products have shown us and our customers time and again that an alignment rod that appears cheap at first glance is not always the most economical solution. When comparing prices, you should pay attention to the structure of the coating and, in the case of GRP rods, to the wall thickness of the fiberglass tube.
We supply most one-piece alignment rods in packaging units of 12 pieces, 6 pieces red at the top and 6 pieces white at the top.
