Instrument tripods made from aluminum and fiberglass

Clamp: eccentric quick-action clamping screw or conventional?
From our perspective, the eccentric clamping has significant handling advantages, because the clamping elements are in easy-grip height. The prerequisite for a good functioning of this system are accurate leg guides in the lower part of the stand, you are often missing on cheap models.

The screw clamp proven in decades is not so pleasant of handling, but it guarantees a more rigid connection in the area of transition from the inner rail to the outside rails of the tripod leg.

For extra heavy instruments (robotic total stations, laser scanners, etc.) and/or with highest accuracy requirements we recommend either the heavy tripod 22-200 NEDO 533DK with combined eccentric and screw clamp and especially a tripod
from CRAIN TRIMAX series.
