Structure of all wooden tripods from LEICA and NESTLE
For the wooden tripods of LEICA and NESTLE, which come from the same production, selected straight-grained beech wood is used, which has a particularly good vibration-damping behavior. The surfaces of the wooden tripods are sealed several times to prevent moisture absorption and to maximize durability. The leg caps are mounted in brass bushings on LEICA tripods and in plastic bushings on NESTLE tripods.
The best possible tripod for your needs
For instruments weighing up to 5 kg and with angular accuracies of 5" to 7", we recommend the 22-GST05 tripod (medium-weight version). For measurements with the highest angular accuracy (≤ 3") with maximum height stability for instruments up to max. 15 kg, we recommend the tripods in heavy-duty version.
