Damage prevention and work efficiency are the biggest challenges for our customers. Solve these problems with the new RD8200. Our most advanced and range of precision locating receivers has been designed with the user in mind.
user in mind. Easy to set up and use - delivers fast, accurate and repeatable measurements.
RD8200 locator receivers and signal transmitters feature transflective low power LCD technology; this utilizes ambient light to improve screen readability in direct sunlight and extend battery life.
TruDepth from Radiodetection displays accurate depth and current readings, but only when the RD8200 is correctly aligned over the target. The measurement results provide a high degree of certainty that the correct line is being traced.
The RD8200's waterproof speaker housing provides optimum resonance for your choice of high or low frequency sounds. 5 audio output levels and vibration alarms help technicians work in difficult conditions.
Quickly scan an area before excavation begins by simultaneously detecting passive power and radio signals naturally present on buried cables or pipes. State-of-the-art digital signal processing enables technicians to detect and respond to weak signals associated with hard-to-locate or deep lines. The Signal Current Direction (STR) signal gives you a directional signal on your tracked conductor, which gives you a much better location indication.
A long range wireless connection between the RD8200 locator and a compatible signal transmitter allows you to adjust the amplitude and frequency of the locate signal from a distance of up to 450 m/1400'.
You can download the RD Manager Online software free of charge after purchase.
Customized frequencies, for the adaptation of your RD8200 to a specific telecommunication network
Confirm the integrity of the measuring system on site. The self-test applies signals to the locating circuit and also checks the function of the display and power supply.
For everyday use - lightweight and ergonomic
Up to 5 additional frequencies can be programmed into your receiver to match the signals detected in the target network.
Dual Bluetooth connectivity, ready for a connected world
The RD8200 locator receiver features a dual Bluetooth system that combines long-range iLOC and low-power connectivity to provide a system that can connect to cloud-based data solutions.
Troubleshooting mode, to locate damage to cable sheaths
Combine your RD8200 locating receiver with the A-frame loop antenna (see accessories) to pinpoint sheath faults to 10 cm (4").
Signal transmitter output voltage of 90 V, for dry soils and deep or wide locates
Stronger locating signal on target conductors with high impedance.
Multimeter function, for optimum connection to the target line
Evaluate the connection to the line with your transmitter: quickly measure the signal voltage, signal current and impedance. This ensures optimum performance of your RD8200 locating system.
Multifunctional signal transmitter
The TX series was developed to meet the requirements for locating and routing utility lines in today's complex underground infrastructure.
The TX5 (see RD7200) offers 5 watts of power, inductive capability and fault find. The TX10 has an output power of up to 10 watts and features Fault Find and CD (Current Direction Indicator STR) mode as standard.
The transmitter range has locating frequencies compatible with all ranges of precision locating receivers and can be easily customized to the receiver of your choice using the “Model” function.
All transmitters maintain constant current across their entire range in all modes (galvanic coupling, clamp or inductive mode) and offer convenience in the field with IP65 protection, a removable accessory storage compartment and a large, high-contrast backlit LCD screen.
