The prism center is located in the bolt axis to be measured due to the design. It is not necessary or possible to set the prism plumb with a circular level. If the stud is not exactly plumb, a large prism height has a negative effect on the accuracy of the coordination. Very precise results can be achieved with the 46-1444 ball prism and the 46-1443 magnetic base due to the low target height (target height 40 mm).
