With the Track gauges measuring instrument the deviation from the desired track width can be in the range of - 10 mm to + 40 mm with an accuracy of + / - 1 mm determine quickly and easily.

The spring-loaded measuring stop is pressed against the rail inner side on the opposite side provides a wide, fixed stop for the correct angle measurement.
The tolerance for the desired width appears analogous to the measuring scale.
To prevent short circuits between the two rails, a supporting point is isolated.
