The best alternative for conventional (heavy) base plates, unless the soil is too soft and/or too uneven. The clever constructional design of the Spider allow for fast „laying“ and removing out of/into your pocket or the belt clip. Due to his symmetrical design the Spider automatically „land“ in the position that is appropriate for the subsequent measurement. Bothersome and strenuous stooping can be avoided, as the tetrahedron pedestals may fall from heights of up to 50 cm.
All parts are manufactured from corrosion-free stainless steel or brass/bronze. The standard delivery contents of the device includes the actual pedestal, a short chain for fastening the leash, the leash with a length of 1.2 m as well as a rugged aluminium spring catch for fastening the leash to your belt. The diameter of the balls for the Spider is 30 mm.
