We strongly recommend the purchase of a spare rechargeable battery pack. The charger included in the standard scope of supply can be used to charge the XT 420 complete with battery pack or a battery pack separately.

A headset is recommended for use of the VOX voice activation. The VOX function cannot be practically used in a very noisy environment. We then recommend the use of the remote handset that can be clipped to the jacket lapel.
The remote handset has an integrated microphone, an especially large transmit button and a powerful loudspeaker. The weight incl. rechargeable battery pack and belt clip is only 261 gram. The operating time per battery charge is reduced by this accessory. The leather protective holster with very large belt clip protects the radio from scratches and dirt.
