Levelling bolts for horizontal use

MATERIALS
The choices are particularly corrosion-resistant aluminum (AlMgSi1), cast iron and steel, hot dip galvanized and stainless steel and brass. The best strength bolts have forged steel and stainless steel, followed by forged aluminum, cast iron and brass castings. Especially in billets, the bolt shank are designed to be particularly strong due to the relatively low strength and brittle structure. Where it matters so little to stem cross sections, forged bolts are the first choice.

CORROSION RESISTANCE
All our studs have a sufficient height for normal environmental influences corrosion protection. Slight changes in the color and surface by weathering are normal in all materials and must be accepted. With aluminum and brass forms an oxide layer that protects the underlying material excellent. Zinc coatings are often dark gray, stainless steel so easily walk to brownish. These changes do not affect the quality of the bolt. In particularly aggressive environments (chemical plants, sewer systems, etc.) only pin of brass or stainless steel
should be used.

INSTALLATION OR. ANCHORAGE DEPTH
For secure anchoring of thumb for installation in concrete and masonry (usually) as required shaft length, the two-to threefold head diameter are accepted. With thick layers of plaster may be a slightly longer shaft elected.

SPECIAL
Especially for thick
insulating facades sometimes very long wall studs are required, we can not deal with our standard program. In such cases, we can deliver "pin-to-measure". Depending on the installation, the required shaft length and the required number is the extension of standard types by welding or the new production by turning or casting into question. Please contact us or send us targeted a small sketch of the installation situation.

Wall bolts TO DIN 18708
These bolts are forged from a special corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy die and then artificially aged. By the alloy, the manufacturing process and the subsequent heat treatment strengths can be achieved that come close to that of standard structural steels.

The results are qualitatively excellent height bolts with the following properties:
  • Unbreakable by high hardness and tensile strength
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • Cheap shaping by variable head / shaft junction
  • Budget through efficient manufacturing
We highly recommend especially wall bolts to DIN 18708. Please take care when compared to the fact that the pins match not only in shape and size with DIN 18708.
Materials and manufacturing processes are critical to the DIN-compliant quality. Die-cast bolts have worsened its strength and can break faster than forgings.
