Monitoring with magnetic beads
Our ball prism monitoring system is modular. The actual prism consists of a very precisely manufactured ball made of galvanized steel with a precisely built in the middle of a triple prism.
Completing the prism tuned by various bases and ball on the mounting situation centering plates that can easily stick reliably to almost any surface and can be screwed or dowels.
A strong base in the ball permanent magnet is integrated, which ensures reliable connection to the ball and to the centering prism.
The smart design allows pivoting the prism over a range of 200 grads in all directions.
The centering for repeat measurements (after pivoting or replacing of the prisms) is in the range of a few tenths of a millimeter.
These are the points to be observed easily accessible and the measurement intervals long, it may be economical to install the prisms just before the measurement. They can be used in the rest of the time on other projects.
In this case, the only remaining base ball and the centering on the monitored object. In this way, theft and vandalism risk and cost of the required prisms fall significantly.
The ball prism system is recommended only to be monitored components on which there are no strong vibrations. The use of rail tracks or strongly vibrating machinery, etc., is not recommended.
Here would be - in conjunction with the centering plates, although the position of the prism to ensure reliable, the vibrations may lead to a rotation of the prism on the centering plate, or in the base.
It is rarely possible to detach ball bases with magnetic forces of 15 and 20kg from their installation surface without using a tool.
